Global Head of Product Management

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Senior Leadership and Department Heads, act as the champion of global Product Management Team to ensure strategic growth initiatives deliver targeted top- and bottom-line growth (i.e., pricing strategies revamp, product line and repair service diversification and expansion, and cross-selling opportunities).
  • Develop company-wide global product strategy, direction and priorities through extensive market research, data driven analytics and deep product knowledge then effectively communicate and document such plans, data and results to Senior Leadership and Department Heads.
  • Own and align company-wide global go-to-market strategy and plan including but not limited to product value proposition, sale opportunities mapping, sales collaterals, beta launch plan, pricing, training, etc. Be the leader and champion of the Product Management Team throughout all phases of go-to-market execution.
  • Lead go-to-market effort together with Business Development Team to ensure successful integration and launch of new product lines to hit top- and bottom-line growth target.
  • Foster and maintain high-quality and collaborative relationships with key suppliers to lock in reliable long-term product source(s) while optimizing the balance between sales, gross margin, inventory turn, quality and customer service level and meeting key business objective and strategic focus.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop the global Product Management Team, own and design the Product Management Team structure to support the growth plan.
  • Translate, breakdown and compartmentalize complex set of challenges and possibilities into addressable and structured requirements internally to cross-functional team and externally to the customer and suppliers.
  • Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, maintain a deep understanding of who the customers are, what their needs are, and what the dynamic market landscape looks like. Then act as the voice of the customer internally.
  • Be accountable for building the right thing by setting goals, identifying KPIs, measuring success, managing priorities, and making the right tradeoffs.


Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree, with 10+ years of work experience in supplier / product management
  • Self-starter, Problem solver and relationship-builder
  • Excellent communication skills, Excellent in English, Mandarin a plus
  • Data-driven – who is relentless about digging into the data to discover insights and understand not just “what” the data tells but the “why” behind the numbers
  • Ability to balance and align varying interests of stakeholders
  • Ability to work in an international context
  • Knowledge about the Product Line Management discipline.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed profitability targets consistently
  • Strong business acumen
  • High degree of aviation business understanding specifically in the area of spares support, supply chain management, maintenance, understanding of support obligations from aircraft purchase agreements
