He joined in April 2020 and later as Chief Executive Officer. He set the company’s strategic direction, expanded its global footprint in parts distribution and MRO services, and built the leadership team driving the business today. He drove growth strategies, transformation initiatives, and enterprise digital programs.

Prior to joining Topcast, Orson was a Managing Director at a boutique PE firm managing portfolio companies based in China and Europe with aggregated assets over $1.5 billion USD. He completed IPO of one portfolio company on the HKEx Main Board and was in the process of taking another portfolio company public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Orson is an engineer by training and started his career in the semiconductor industry with Applied Materials. He also spent a few years at McKinsey & Company. After that, he spent many years further strengthening his general management skills by holding positions in corporate strategy, operations and product line management, as well as being an investment professional.

Orson holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
