As a member of Permira’s Portfolio team, Yi focuses on investment opportunities across all sectors. He has worked on a number of transactions in Asia, US, and Europe.

Prior to joining Permira, Yi worked as a VP of Transformation for Platinum Equity’s portfolio companies in Asia, leading the development and execution of value creation initiatives with both growth and cost efficiency levers.

Qualifications

Yi holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Houston and has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin with honours.

Yi possesses multiple professional certifications including PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), SME Lean Bronze Certification, and is a Prosci certified professional in change management.

Daniel focuses on investment opportunities in the Services and Technology sectors. He has worked on a number of transactions including English First Kids & Teens, Magento, Pepperjam, and Tricor.

Prior to joining Permira, Daniel worked for Serent Capital for two years, investing in middle-market growth businesses. Before that, he spent two years with Barclays Capital’s investment banking division covering the Technology sector.

Qualifications

Daniel holds a degree in Economics and Music from Vassar College, USA and has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, USA.

Steen has close to 40 years of experience in the aviation industry and has held various senior management positions for Satair, an Airbus company. Covering business development, sales, product management thru marketing & communication leadership. Most recent role was Vice President and Head of Business Development.

Since July 2019, with the creation of his company Karsbo Consulting, he has focused on providing independent consulting and advisory services to a wide range of OEM’s, investors, distributors, PE and VC companies and start-ups. Areas of service includes amongst others : After Market & Sales Strategies, M&A support/assessment, Supplier Management, New Business Strategies, Systems & Powerplant Supply Chain, Board Director and Board Advisory roles.

Steen has since August 2020 supported Topcast as a Senior Advisor to Executive Management and to the Board.

Orson joined Topcast in April 2020. As Chief Commercial Officer, he is responsible for deriving, planning, and driving product and service growth plans, transformation initiatives and enterprise digital strategies to drive top-line growth and operational improvements. 

Orson Lo is an experienced executive with proven track record of transforming business operations and growing bottom-line across various market verticals.   

Prior to joining Topcast, Orson was a Managing Director at a boutique PE firm managing portfolio companies based in China and Europe with aggregated assets over $1.5 billion USD. He completed IPO of one portfolio company on the HKEx Main Board and was in the process of taking another portfolio company public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.  

Orson is an engineer by training and started his career in the semiconductor industry with Applied Materials. He also spent a few years at McKinsey & Company. After that, he spent many years further strengthening his general management skills by holding positions in corporate strategy, operations and product line management, as well as being an investment professional. 

Qualifications

Orson holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

As a member of Permira’s Services team, Chenxing focuses on investment opportunities across all sectors. He has worked on a number of transactions including English First Kids & Teens, Full Truck Alliance and Topcast.

Prior to joining Permira, Chenxing worked for The Abraaj Group for one year, investing in middle-market buyouts across southeast Asia.
